All-Russian “Georacing” Competitions to be Held in Moscow for the First Time All-Russian “Georacing” Competitions to be Held in Moscow for the First Time

On November 9, Moscow will host the events of the new project “Georacing” for the first time. It is being implemented by the Russian Geographical Society together with the Equestrian Federation of Russia, with the media support of Radio Gordost. We invite everyone to the family equestrian club “Izmailovo” to take part in the celebration.

“Georacing” is a unique educational project aimed at popularizing sports geography and the national heritage of Russia. Its purpose is to tell about discoveries and important events related to various horse breeds.

As part of the project, the family equestrian club “Izmailovo” will host pony sports competitions, as well as a competition, participants of which will be invited to record a video (up to 20 minutes long) with a story about the history of the origin of the pony breeds on which they perform, habitats, and important events in the history of Russian regions associated with them.

The best video will be awarded a gift from the Russian Geographical Society. The award will be presented by the guest of honor of the event: singer, participant of the show “Golos” (eng."The Voice") Lera Bazykina.

Also, anyone can test their knowledge in the field of geography at the event. To do this, the organizers have prepared contests, quizzes, and other interesting activities.
