The Russian Geographical Society announces the start of the competition for the right to receive youth scholarships in 2017. The size of the scholarship is 100,000 rubles.
The contest has two nominations: "For success in scientific and educational activities in the field of geography and related sciences" and "For success in social activities that meet the goals and objectives of the Russian Geographical Society.
When submitting an application for this nomination, it is necessary to attach the recommendation of a scientist, scientific or pedagogical council of an educational organization, or a recommendation from a USSR or Russian State Prize laureate, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Manager or the Academic Council of the Society.
In the nomination "For success in public activities," one of the main criteria for evaluation will be the number of organized scientific or educational programs, festivals, conferences, seminars, contests and olympiads of various levels as the project manager or one of the performers.
Participation in the events of the Russian Geographical Society, recommendations and gratitude from the leadership of the RGO will be a big plus to the portfolio of the applicant for winning the competition. In addition to basic social activities, your sports and cultural and creative achievements will not be ignored.
All the information provided will be checked for authenticity and compliance with geographical topics, and for inventions - for patents. Therefore, do not forget to attach documents confirming specific achievements: certificates, certificates of the participant, the winner or the organizer, gratitude, extracts from orders, scan copies, etc. All scientific and social achievements for the period from 1 January 2015 to the present are taken into account.
