From May 18 to 21, the Russian Geographical Society, as part of the delegation of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the City of Moscow, took part in the VIII Russia-China Expo and the Days of Moscow in Harbin. The large-scale exhibition was included in the list of major events organized in China on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and the Days of Moscow were held as part of the Years of Culture of Russia and China.
As part of the business program, Anastasia Timofeeva, Adviser at the Department of Expert-Analytical and International Activities of the Executive Directorate of the RGS, spoke at a conference on cooperation between Moscow and Harbin with the participation of the representatives of the Government of Moscow, the People's Government of Harbin, and the local business community. The participants of the event were introduced to the main activities of the Russian Geographical Society and the possibilities of cooperation between the Russian Geographical Society and foreign business.

The RGS also took part in a business event on cooperation between Moscow and Zhejiang Province. RGS projects were also presented in the lecture hall area at the stand of the Russian capital. The guests heard about the key international initiatives of the Russian Geographical Society, about the history of the study of China by representatives of the Russian Geographical Society, about the current stage of cooperation with China.

The activities of the Russian Geographical Society aroused interest from representatives of Heilongjiang University, Northeast Forestry University, Hebei Pedagogical University of Science and Technology, as well as trade and manufacturing companies from different regions of China.
During the entire Expo, you could watch the VR film "Russia: A Virtual Tour" at the RGS stand. The visitors were amazed by the diversity of the natural and cultural heritage of our country. The film aroused particular interest among the young guests, many of whom got acquainted with virtual reality for the first time.
