From January 13 to 21, an exhibition of works by participants and laureates of the photo contest of the Russian Geographical Society "The Most Beautiful Country" was held in the capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou. Visitors saw fascinating pictures of the natural and cultural heritage of Russia introducing the unique places of our country.
The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking representatives of the political and academic circles of the African country: Prime Minister of Burkina Faso Apollinaire J. Kyélem de Tambèla ; Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation Adjima Thiombiano; Minister of Culture, Arts, and Tourism Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo; Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation Karamoko Jean Marie Traore; representatives of Joseph Ki-Zerbo University, Thomas Sankara University, and Superior Normal School, as well as the Russia – Burkina Faso Friendship Association, the association of former students of the USSR and Russia "Soyuz", the association of compatriots "Rainbow", etc.
