On April 27, 2022, the Expert Commission of the VIII photo contest of the Russian Geographical Society "The Most Beautiful Country" selected the best works in all the declared adult and children's categories. The names of the finalists will be announced on May 23. On the same day, an online voting will start, which will determine the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
In 2022, a total of 46,893 works were submitted to the photo competition of the Russian Geographical Society "The Most Beautiful Country": 42,955 photos in adult categories and 3,938 in children's. 5934 authors took part in the competition, including 669 children.

The meeting of the Expert Commission of the photo competition was held at the Headquarters of the Russian Geographical Society in Moscow. The Expert Commission consisting of 14 people selected the ten best works in each of the ten announced adult categories and five in each of the four children's. You can see them on May 23 on the website of "The Most Beautiful Country".
Anyone can vote for one of the pictures up until and including June 6 and help in determining the winner of the People’s Choice Award. In June 2022, a meeting of the Jury of the photo contest will be held, which will determine the winners in each category.
Also, on April 27, the Expert Commission determined the winner of the special prize "Behind the Scenes", which is awarded for the best video clip lasting up to five minutes. However, according to the rules of the Russian Geographical Society's photo contest "The Most Beautiful Country", the results of the voting will come into force only in June after the approval by the Jury.
