Novgorod Regional Branch
The Novgorod Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society was established in December 1966.
His work is traditionally closely connected with the activities of the Department of Geography, Regional Studies and Tourism of Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University. International conferences devoted to the problems of geography, geoecology, tourism development and education are organized jointly. Collections of materials are published based on the results of the conferences. A unique monograph "Geography of Veliky Novgorod. Nature, population, economy", which absorbed the results of studying the organism of the city. Teaching aids for students and educational literature for schoolchildren are being developed.
