The opening of the exhibition «My Beautiful India» took place at the House of Friendship of Peoples «Rodina» (eng. «Motherland») in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The exhibition was prepared jointly by the Krasnoyarsk Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society and its Indian partners from the Russia — India Cultural Exchange (RICE) organization.

Dozens of citizens came to see the bright and unusual exhibition, which features 30 photographs. The exhibits of the exhibition are works by Indian authors filled with light and love for their country. They show the everyday life, ancient architecture, traditions, and culture of this amazing country. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the representatives of the Center for Indian Culture and Health «Rishikesh» in Krasnoyarsk.

Last fall, a joint Russian-Indian photo exhibition was held in Calcutta. The exhibition «Siberia, from North to South — Beautiful Nature, Beautiful People» was organized from Russia with the support of the Zheleznogorsk Branch of the RGS. Now, throughout 2025, as part of the international cultural exchange, the best photographs of the winners of the exhibition «My Beautiful India» will be exhibited in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

«The Krasnoyarsk Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society is actively and consistently developing international cooperation. And this event is another example of friendship and partnership. Today, Russia and India are BRICS members and major trading partners. Our countries are united by a similar view of the future of the planet: bright, free, and multipolar. Such exhibition projects are extremely important because they provide an opportunity to touch the history and culture of another nation, help to become closer to each other,» Konstantin Volchok, head of the Expert Analytics and International Affairs Commission of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Branch of the RGS, said at the opening of the exhibition.

The exhibition at the House of Friendship of Peoples «Rodina» in the Krasnoyarsk Territory will run until February 10, 2025. Admission is free. Later, the exhibition will be shown in other cities and towns of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, including Zheleznogorsk, Borodino, Achinsk, and Nazarovo.
