The exhibition «Russia is the Most Beautiful Country» opened on December 20 in St. Petersburg. The exhibition, prepared with the participation of the Headquarters of the Russian Geographical Society, will operate in the bus station building on Obvodny Canal.

The Headquarters of the RGS in St. Petersburg has been working together with the bus station on Obvodny Canal for a year now. The exhibition that opened is the second in a row.

«I am very happy about our joint work. From my office, I can observe how passengers waiting for their bus approach with great interest, get acquainted with the exhibition, and carefully look at the photos,» said Roman Trofimov, Deputy Director of the St. Petersburg State Transport Agency.

This time, the Headquarters of the RGS has prepared a thematic collection «Arctic Today» for the passengers of the bus station. This is not just a collection of beautiful photographs, but an invitation to travel through the vast expanses of our country, where every landscape, every drop of water, and every mountain peak tells its own unique story.

Dmitry Vanchkov, Deputy Chairman of the city’s Transport Committee, and Roman Ryabintsev, Director of the RGS Headquarters in St. Petersburg, took part in the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition.

«The Arctic is a great region. And here passengers will be able to immerse themselves in the beauty, history, and geography of our North. Through art, including photography, we try to convey to the hearts of our people the awareness of what a great country we live in,» Dmitry Vanchkov emphasized at the opening of the exhibition.

The exhibition is located in the lobby of the second floor of the bus station. The exhibition will be open until the end of February 2025.
