The anti-sabotage forces and means detachment (PDSS) of the Black Sea Fleet celebrated the half-century anniversary of its foundation.

A celebration was held in the territory of the Konstantinovskiy Ravelin museum renovated by the Russian Geographical Society. It is in this area the anti-sabotage forces and means detachment was initially set up.

A meeting to commemorate this date was held and rear-admiral Victor Liina, the chief of staff of the Black Sea Fleet, veterans, leadership and individual members of the detachment visited the event.

The anti-sabotage forces and means detachment (PDSS) is tasked with inspecting the water areas of the Black Sea Fleet locations for the detection of signs of enemies’ anti-sabotage forces and means. In addition, during 50 years combat swimmers have successfully coped with special tasks set by the Black Sea Fleet command.
