The Russian Geographical Society announces a competition for young scientists and activists to participate in the exchange program, which is being implemented jointly with the Geographical Society of China. In 2025, under this program, you can travel to major cities in Eastern China located in the Yangtze River Delta, including Shanghai and Hangzhou.
The program will be held from May 15 to May 25 (the final dates and details of the program will be determined within a month). Participants will have the opportunity to explore the unique natural and cultural features of the region, including geographical, environmental, and socio-economic aspects.
The program includes:
— research of urbanized landscapes and ecological systems of the Yangtze River Delta;
— participation in scientific seminars and round tables with Chinese colleagues;
— meetings with representatives of the leading scientific and educational organizations of the region;
— getting to know the cultural heritage and modern achievements of the cities of Eastern China.

The Yangtze River Delta is one of the most dynamically developing regions in the world. Here, ancient history is combined with modern technology. Participants of the program will be able not only to expand their professional knowledge, but also to establish international contacts for further cooperation.
Terms of participation:
— citizenship of the Russian Federation;
— age from 18 to 35 years;
— mandatory knowledge of English;
— knowledge of Chinese will be an advantage.

The deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2025, inclusive.
