At the end of April, the Russian Embassy in Vietnam and the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi hosted events dedicated to the history and culture of our country. Several hundred compatriots and interested citizens visited the exhibitions of the Russian Geographical Society "Nikolai Mikhailovich Przhevalsky: A Journey of a Lifetime" and "The Most Beautiful Country".
The exhibition dedicated to Nikolai Przhevalsky is timed to the 185th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian traveler, geographer, explorer of Central Asia, whose scientific achievements had a huge impact on the development of geography and related sciences around the world. Visitors to the exhibition saw the scientist's diaries, photographs and letters from his travels as well as pencil sketches of birds and animals of Central Asia made during the expeditions.

The photo exhibition "The Most Beautiful Country" was opened as part of the charity fair "Together!". Among the visitors to the exhibition were representatives of the diplomatic corps as well as the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association.
The annual photo contest "The Most Beautiful Country" is a large-scale media project of the Russian Geographical Society dedicated to the conservation of Russian wildlife and fostering respect for the environment. It was first held in 2015.
There are no restrictions on the age and place of residence of the participants in the rules of the creative contest. The main condition is that the photos must be taken only on the territory of Russia.

Exhibitions "Nikolai Mikhailovich Przhevalsky: A Journey of a Lifetime" and "The Most Beautiful Country" were prepared by the Russian Geographical Society with the assistance of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Vietnam.
