The next RGS media grant competition will be held in 2025. It will be timed to coincide with the 180th anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society. Applicants, among whom there may be both legal entities and individuals, will be offered to implement major projects dedicated to the key areas of activity of the RGS, the natural and cultural heritage of Russia, scientific achievements, and other significant events that have occurred over the 180-year history of the Society.
Grants of the Russian Geographical Society are targeted funds provided to individuals and legal entities for conducting fundamental and applied scientific research, implementing publishing educational and media projects aimed at achieving the goals and solving the issues of the RGS. Since 2010, the Society has been supporting multimedia ideas and allocating funds for media grants. The exception was the years of the pandemic and its consequences. During the entire existence of the RGS’s grant program, 294 media projects have become winners of the competition.
The main grant competition of the Russian Geographical Society in 2024 is already underway. Applications are accepted until November 1, 2024, through a unified electronic system on the website grant.rgo.ru . To apply, you have to first register in the grant application system.
