The exhibition of the Russian Geographical Society «Cultural Heritage of Russia» has opened in Budapest. The exhibition features 13 best works by the finalists and winners of «The Most Beautiful Country» photo contest.

The Days of Russian Spiritual Culture are taking place in the Hungarian capital from October 1 to 6, with the RGS’s exhibition as part of the program. The Russian Geographical Society was introduced by Artur Latypov, Director of the Regional Development Department of the Executive Directorate of the RGS.

«It is a great honor for us to take part in this event and present the cultural heritage of our country in Hungary, a country that, like Russia, carefully preserves its history and culture. I am sure that there is a deep mutual understanding between our countries based on respect for our roots,» Artur Latypov said in his speech.

The photographs presented at the exhibition depict unique historical and architectural monuments from different regions of our country: the Naryn-Kala Citadel in Dagestan, the Oreshek Fortress in the Leningrad Region, the Shoana Church in Karachay-Cherkessia, etc. Each photo highlights the greatness of the multifaceted culture of the peoples of Russia.

In addition to the RGS exhibition, the guests of the Days of Spiritual Culture of Russia will enjoy performances by music groups: the Lyudmila Zykina State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble «Russia», the Sretensky Monastery Choir, and the Valentin Berlinsky String Quartet. The photo exhibition «Kizhi — Russia’s Restored Masterpiece» will also be presented in Budapest.

The Days of Russian Spiritual Culture is a unique project of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation aimed at popularizing the spiritual and moral values of the Russian people and the wealth of Russian culture and art abroad. The project is being implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Russian Orthodox Church. The organizer is ANO «Russian Seasons». In 2025, the Russian Geographical Society participated in the project.
