A series of online lectures in Russian and English dedicated to the Anniversary of the spaceflight of Yuri Gagarin was held at the Lecture Hall of the Russian Geographical Society.

The event was launched by journalist Alexander Milkus with a story about his new book "Yuri Gagarin. Like it was. The first man in space", which was issued at the end of March 2021. Cosmic limitations and unlimited capabilities of the human body were described by Ph.D. Head of the Laboratory of Physiology of the Immune System of the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Ponomarev. The promising directions for the development of the Russian space industry were presented by a test engineer, former press secretary of the Russian Aerospace Agency Rosaviakosmos Sergey Gorbunov.

In the frames of celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the event was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Commission, the first cosmonaut from Saudi Arabia to visit outer space, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Describing his flight Prince said that the Earth looks very fragile from the space, and urged to make every effort to preserve the ecology of our planet. Professor Ali Aldosari, President of the Saudi Geographical Society, shared his experience in using satellite data in GIS technologies on the example of the Map of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia updated last year.
