An important international meeting took place at the RGS Festival in Moscow. The delegation from the RGS Center in Australia, led by its head Anastasia Rudenko, visited the stand of the RGS Youth Movement. During the visit, an agreement was signed on cooperation and on the opening of the RGS Youth Club on the Australian continent.
The Youth Movement of the Russian Geographical Society was represented by Yana Fedosova, Director of the Youth Work Department of the RGS’s Executive Directorate. The meeting was also attended by Vladimir Kotlyar, Executive Director of the RGS Center in Australia; Arina Molosh, a specialist; and other representatives of the Australian RGS Center. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation, including the implementation of educational and research projects aimed at popularizing geographical knowledge and developing youth initiatives.
«It is a great honor for us to sign a cooperation agreement with the Youth Movement of the Russian Geographical Society so that our projects for young people can reach another level where we can share our experience. And our youth could get involved and work with young people in Russia, share their experiences, and also gain experience, because for us the connection with Russia plays a huge role, ” Anastasia Rudenko emphasized.
The establishment of the RGS Youth Club in Sydney will be a big step in the development of the international network of the Russian Geographical Society Youth Movement, which unites active young people around the world.

The Center of the Russian Geographical Society in Australia began work on December 14, 2024. Its opening took place with the assistance of the Russian-Australian Friendship, the Youth Council of Russian Compatriots in Australia, as well as the Consulate General of the Russian Federation.
