For the third year now, the best eco-educational initiatives will be honored in Russia as part of the national Rassvet (eng. Dawn) Award. In the first two seasons, the jury evaluated about 1,000 projects that change the lives of millions of Russians, their environmental awareness, and general approaches to education. The award is supported by the Russian Geographical Society. We invite everyone to submit their projects!
Projects implemented in Russia can participate in the contest. You can apply until February 1, 2026.
This season, the award is presented in nine categories: «Best Publishing Project», «Best Network Project», «Best Project for Protected Nature», «Best Photo Tourism Project», «Best Educational Project», «Best Photo Project», «Best Cinematographic Project», «Best Corporate Eco-Educational Project», and «Best Regional Eco-Educational Project».
The general partner of the Rassvet Award is the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia. The support is provided by the Russian Geographical Society, the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation, the All-Russian Research Institute of Environmental Protection, and other organizations. Each of the partners awards special prizes.
The jury includes renowned photographers, experts in the field of nature conservation and the development of protected areas in Russia, heads of major environmental and educational organizations, winners of film and television awards.
