We are inviting young geographers to the "World of Discoveries" at the children's center “Orlyonok”

The Russian Geographical Society announces the start of accepting applications for participation in the specialized session «World of Discoveries» at the All-Russian children’s center «Orlyonok». Young geographers will find an exciting and useful program that will allow them to gain new knowledge and skills, meet interesting people: scientists, researchers, travelers. And of course, the children will have a good rest on the Black Sea coast. The session will take place from October 6 to October 26, 2025, the camp is located in the Tuapse district of the Krasnodar Territory. The application must be submitted by August 17.

In 2025, the specialized sessions of the RGS «World of Discoveries» are dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society. The educational program will help children remember the famous pioneers, the most important research, and significant achievements that left their mark on the history of the country, and will also allow them to choose a geographical profession to suit their taste.

The specialized sessions project «World of Discoveries» has been implemented by the Russian Geographical Society in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation since 2015. Every year, gifted students go to national and international children’s centers. Thousands of young geographers from different regions of Russia have already become participants in the project. The Krasnodar Regional Branch of the RGS organizes and conducts the «World of Discoveries» sessions. The main goal of the large-scale educational project is to preserve and enhance Russia’s intellectual potential.
