Bryansk regional Branch

Today, the Bryansk Regional Branch unites scientists, travelers, community leaders, and teachers around the ideas of developing georaphic education and science, popularizing the study of georaphy and the history of their small homeland among the population of the Bryansk region, and protecting the unique nature of the Bryansk region.  The department is open to all those who are not indifferent to the goals and objectives of the Russian Geographical Society, and provides an opportunity to contribute knowledge and skills to the development of the Russian Geographical Society in the Bryansk region.

The modern Bryansk regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society is the successor and continuer of the traditions of the Bryansk Department of the Geographical Society of the USSR Union, which was established in 1957. The Department, combining the efforts of scientists and experts from the Bryansk region, has made a significant contribution to solving a number of complex problems.  Special attention was paid to the problems of solving the problems of the Gum - the main waterway of the region.
