Kaluga Regional Branch

The Kaluga Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society was established in 1966.

The most important area of the Department's work is scientific research, including climate change and their impact on natural sites in Russia.

The main research activities of the members of the Department are: hydrology, oceanology, aerology, seismology, meteorology, climatology, ecology, geoecology, landscape studies, local history, physical geography, historical geography, school geography, social and economic geography, demography, ethnography and other areas related to the system of geographical sciences.
