Office in the Donetsk People's Republic

In Rostov-on-Don Russian Academy of Sciences Southern Scientific Center hosted the founding general meeting of the Branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Donetsk People's Republic, within which the Branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Donetsk People's Republic was established.

The founder of the department was the management of the Donetsk Republican Museum of Local Lore, and the department was headed by Marina Maksimchuk, General Director of the Donetsk Republican Museum of Local Lore.

As part of the general meeting, for the first time, a permanent elected collegial governing body was elected — the Council of the Branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Donetsk People's Republic, and a decision was made to register the newly established branch as a legal entity.
