Tambov Regional Branch
The Tambov Regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society was founded in 1951.
It unites staff, postgraduates and students of the Departments of Geography, Ecology, Tourism of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, employees of the Tambov Regional State Institute of Advanced Training, teachers of geography in schools of the region and people interested in issues of national geography and ecology. Over the years, the regional center of the Russian Geographical Society has been established, and an agreement on cooperation has been signed with the Tambov city administration.
