Vladimir Regional Branch

The Vladimir branch of the Russian Geographical Society was founded in 1946 and was located in the city of Vladimir on Frunze Street. At the time of its creation, more than 40 members were officially registered in the branch of the Society.

The Department operates in order to study, preserve and popularize the geographical and historical and cultural heritage of Russia and the Vladimir region. One of the most important areas is work with young people – support for scientific creativity, patriotic education, and the formation of an ethic of respect for nature.  The main areas of activity are research, scientific and methodological, organizational, and expeditionary. The Murom local branch has been formed as part of the Vladimir regional branch.

We invite all concerned citizens who love the Vladimir Region and Russia to cooperate. We invite you to join the joint work of travelers, scientists, students, geography teachers, entrepreneurs and all those who are ready to participate in the development of the Vladimir branch of the Russian Geographical Society.
